The room without the CEO | 28.04.2026
When you leave the room - what happens?
Does middle management make decisions or wait?
Does it move change forward or pause it?
Does it take ownership or delegate it back up?
In most small and mid-sized businesses, middle management is the layer where good strategies might lose momentum and good intentions stay intentions.

Session recap
Every CEO in this session had built something – team, culture, set of systems they are proud of. All of them are builders who keep on developing and growing.
That’s why they are ready to be challenged and provoked.
And Zara Tenchova did it.
“What will happen if the CEO is missing from the organization for 3 months?”
Three months - without oversight, no final call, no reassuring presence. The organization runs entirely on its own or it doesn't? Why?
The CEO always projects themselves onto the team. Which means the first questions should always be turned inward and honest answers are the only path forward.
The session opened with the whole group and quickly turned into a live, unscripted exchange between people who actually know what it's like to be the person that everything depends on. Topics surfaced organically in ways that a traditional workshop agenda would never allow.
What the room talked about: team maturity, consistency in leadership, leadership styles, proactivity, autonomous decision-making, and what you're actually communicating vs what gets heard.
The conversation kept returning to one uncomfortable truth: a team's ability to operate without its CEO is a direct reflection of the CEO. The culture, the patterns, the unspoken permissions and silent veto rights - they all originate from one place.
Building a team that can run without you is, paradoxically, one of the most self-aware things a leader can do. It requires admitting what you've been holding on to. What you've never fully delegated. Where the organization's confidence ends and your own ego begins.
The session continued two hours past its official close.
That's the foundation CEOmoments is built on - a trusted circle where what's said in the room stays in the room, and where that safety makes real growth possible.
The best CEOs we know are not the ones who've figured everything out. They're the ones who've built environments - inside their companies and around.
That's the room CEOmoments is building. One session at a time.
The conversations that change how you lead don't happen by accident.
CEOmoments brings together Bulgaria's CEOs for sessions built around honesty, challenge, and real growth. If you're ready to be in the room - reach out.
